If you and your partner intend on a long term relationship, by all means it is your responsibility to inform them, I mean, why would anyone continue a relationship with deception and not tell them. You have to become the better person and face the music. Honesty is integrity.
Just know that in some states it is illegal to not disclose your status knowing that you are HIV positive and you infect someone else.

It a dificult conversation but it's one that had to happen....I was scared as well but I had to just come out and tell him..no matter how I felt....it was numbing...he tested negative and I was relived....we stayed together for years after....stay strong 🤗 best of luck to you.....welcome

Coping with your initial diagnosis can be tough. Tell your partner for the sake of there health if your already together. If your not, I'd let the health dept tell them. Unless you can handle there reaction on top of your own. I told my ex, but in all honesty I was to angry for the job. I should have let the health dept do it .
