The person who infected me was a drug user also. So far it’s been 7 months since diagnosis I have hiv but so far I’ve been hep c negative. My doctor said 6 months after possible infection if I test negative for hep c I’m in the clear anyone concur with that. Also I heard hep c and hiv don’t play well together but I heard hep c can be cured?
Did you ask your Doctor to do a Hep C viral load test Brad ? You then dont have to wait 6 months to see if you have contracted it or not.

This is for anyone but especially the older ones who’ve been living with HIV for a long time . How many times have you heard a cure is just around the corner or a vaccine is promising. And will be available soon. I love the latest news on HIV development but get disappointed every time they say a cure is on the horizon. @A myHIVteam Member. You already have antibodies to HIV yourself. Testing HIV+ is a lab for the presence or absence of those antibodies. Rarely are they enough to keep HIV in check.
