Who Would Like To Join A Camping Get Together This Next Summer (if We Are Not Still On Covid Restrictions)?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Edmore, MI

We would love to have a MyHIVTeam camping get together.
You would have to pay your own way to get there, and have your own camping gear (maybe if some people had big enough tents, we could share tents), but we would be interested in seeing who would like to have a week of camping fun this summer in 2021 if covid restrictions are lifted. If you would be interested in something like this, please leave a message so we can start making plans.

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Memphis, TN

Has your life changed drastically due to living with HIV and during this Covid-19 pandemic

For Those Of Us Suffering From Lipoatrophy And/or Lipodystrophy:

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Seattle, WA

Many feel the major culprits for Lipoatrophy, or loss of fullness in face. limbs, and rear, were the drugs AZT and Zerit. More are prone to Lipodystrophy, or visceral fat accumulation in your belly making it look bigger or fat accumulation in fat in upper back, who took Crixivan early on. As a long termer having had HIV 32 years I was on all three for quite a long time back in the 90's when med choices were few. And have both Lipoatrophy and Lipodystrophy in some shape or form. Wonder if… read more

Seasonal Depression

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Edmore, MI

During the darker, colder, cloudier winter months, many people suffer from seasonal depression. My question is during these months when the sun does finally come out and shine, how do you take advantage of it? Does it change your mood for the day? Do you seem happier?

A myHIVteam Member

i have this - i can combat the effects with 5000k light bulbs (they are cheaper than the Florescence that are prescribed) and work just as well - 20 - 30 minutes a day - its not perfect but it helps !

The Worst Things For Me Living As A Long Term Survivor Of 32 Years:

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Seattle, WA

With HIV now looked at as a manageable disease, and the introduction of PREP, there are a handful of us who are the final living proof carrying the history and legacy of the original AIDS generation. The majority of Long Term Survivor's they say are in their 50's or 60's, I am in my sixties so that fits my category. But I suffer AIDS Survivors Syndrome in a major way which has inevitably isolated me into feeling completely misunderstood by my friends, and family. It is fair to say most of my… read more

Edmore, MI

The United States is the main country this site has, for members. We DO have members of many nations on this site. This particular post is for EVERY NATION
The resources link on this site is a nice link for articles but it does not offer actual local resources. It would be nice if the site would allow us to add local resources like it lets us add local HIV doctors, dentist or other medical proessionals
Many people, especially newly diagnosed people, do not know there are local resources… read more
