Telling Medical Professionals?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Dallas, TX

I was diagnosed in Dec 2023. My infection disease dr is proving my meds and checking in regularly. I recently saw a new primary care Dr. I need to notify other medical professionals (dentist & GYNO) and I’m so nervous of being treated differently. I’ve seen my GYNO for 20 years, so feel I will disappoint her. How have medical professionals responded to you when notified?

I know what you mean Ann4. I was in my 40s, newly separated from my wife who was negative. 😵Unspoken questions filled my dr. room! Fugitaboutit!
