Anyone A Member Of A Support Group?
Other than this forum, are any of you actively a member of any local support groups in your area?
A few years back, I was. But, I was not getting what I thought I should be receiving from the group. I did speak with the Leaders to voice my desire for the agenda. Sometimes, one has to "kiss a lot of frogs", to find a compatible setting. The mission of the group should be CLEARLY outlined, and adhered to. Great help in guiding hopeful participants. I've found a good facilitator is priceless! In fact, from your post I feel you'd be a GREAT one! Things you've outlined you'd like to see/be done is lacking for so many! Maybe you've not found such a group because YOU...are the catalyst!
No, I haven't found anything local, but would love the same type of setting. (And also a big fan of "Mom") 😉

I joined a support group after I moved out of the big City (Los Angeles). I moved 2hrs north to California central valley. Best decision I made...I am not alone. Because of Covid-19 restrictions...we're not always able to meet in person. But we do still meet through zoom twice a month. HIVIP
Your ASO should be able to hook you up with a support group. If you are a long termer though, I don't think one exists anymore, at least in the city I live.
