I want to know, are people really disclosing each and every time they have sex. I was talking to my ex last week and he gave me the impression at least people in his circle of friend do not disclose their HIV status when having encounters or relationships. Should the term "AIDS" be retired? I think @A myHIVteam Member might have mentioned this, but this is the first time I've seen it on Medscape.
Is AIDS just advanced HIV infection, or would eliminating the term give the impression that it's no longer a problem?

Unfortunately, many long term and/or untreated HIV patients develop some form of cancer. Have you experienced this?

I don't think so. At one point, I was told that I had the early stages of multiple myeloma but several years later, I was told that my extremely high IgG level was due to HIV, so I don't know.
