Is It True That Taking Too Much Garlic Decreases The Power Of Meds In The Body?
If it's raw Yes gastrointestinal issues or on blood thinners
But garlic supplements can reduce how well some anti- HIV medicines work. Eating some garlic in food seems to be safe.
77 HIV-infected women, researchers found that, at least in the short term, garlic supplements did not make antiretroviral drugs less effective
Take your meds on time, eat right, exercise regularly and dont read things on the internet too much. My doctor has specialized in HIV treatment since the 1980's and has never mentioned garlic. I am poz since 1992 and in very good health and I put garlic powder on almost every meal.......
@A myHIVteam Member garlic actually helps your body in more ways than one. I have had HIV since 1985, and I use a tremendous amount of garlic with my Asian inspired dishes especially the stir-fried vegetables with tofu or chicken. I also use garlic in its unprocessed form for fried rice, marinades like teriyaki, and Korean kalbi short ribs. The only drawback, which doesn't bother me, is the strong odor coming out of my mouth when I burp or even when speaking, also when I perspire sometimes I can smell the garlic. So, NO garlic does not interfere with your HIV treatment or make your situation worse. Bon Appetit!
