I have been using Gabapentin along with Acetaminophen since my industrial accident in June 2024 dealing with nerve pain in my reconstructed left leg. I was using tramadol and other pain alleviating meds, because of this injury. My orthopedic surgeon did instruct me that I will be weaned off the gabapentin to reduce side effects once I no longer need it. It helps with the nerve pains so that I can get some restful sleep.

I was on it but it did not work for me. My mother takes it though.

Gabapentin isn't a drug that you just stop using. Gabapentin has to be slowly reduced. So my guess is side effect from not being used properly.

@A myHIVteam Member, right now i am sitting on 6 bottles of gabapentin. I refill them every 24 days.

Xavier, yes. I have trouble getting my extended release gabapentin. I try to be up on not running out but at times with insurance companies you have to do prior authorization even though I've been on this medicine for years.
