When a huge hiv clinic in a city with its own pharmacy, in USA, knows the infected patient must not miss any doses, this is common knowledge and ancient history by now, then why is it the patient who needs to travel for three months on a work call for their job, or even a person wanting to take a one month vacation to visit extended family, why do I constantly witness time and time again people arguing with the pharm techs about getting their meds for their trips? I also forgot to add in my answer, your pharmacy CAN forward your prescription to another pharmacy as well. I've did this a few times when my insurance changed my pharmacies.
It's not the pharmacy or your job you need to contact. You need to contact your insurance company and let them know that you will be out of the area for an extended time. Then the insurance company will approve the early refills, or they may set you up with a mail delivery to your away from home destination. Your pharmacy should have told you this information.
Sorry to hear that it's a problem getting a 6 months prescription in the US. In the UK a 6 months prescription is the norm.

I can always refill my prescription 6 days earlier so after time I have a 90 day plus reserve as a back up
