How many of you have an HSA? That Is short for health savings account
I know for some people, it is hard to even open a savings account or checking account, but you really should open a HSA
When you get doctor bills, or have to pay your office calls, you can use your HSA. If you know you will be going to the doctor, stop by the bank and put your co-payment into your HSA. paying a bill? instead of paying in cash or personal check, use an HSA check or HSA debit card. On the topic of medicare, I'm 59 and I've been on medicare for 8 years, but that's because I have health conditions that qualify me as a 100% disabled
Some are mental some of them are physical. Because with disability, there are some conditions that automatically qualify you. In that situation you qualify for medicare after 2 years of being on disability. Great question, Brad. Everyone have a great day.

My experience with HSA was also through work. My employer would put $300 each year to encourage us to use it. Money for HSA came from our pay. Like a 401k, the money was deposited before taxes were taken. The glitch was that at the start of each year, you had to estimate what you thought you would spend through the HSA. It was use it or lose it, so you wouldn't use it as a tax free savings account. You had to guesstimate the amount. After a few years, I got more bold, putting larger sums of money away in my HSA. Thank you for the tips @A myHIVteam Member. 🤠❤️

@A myHIVteam Member, that depends on certain circumstances. Usually 65 or older for Medicare. I do know people in their 40s who have both Medicare and Medicaid but you have to meet certain requirements.
