Does Having Sex, Scare You Now?
After testing positive, are you insecure or afraid of being touched or touching someone else?
I am. My love life was already dead but now I feel I just need to focus on me.

I remember those days. About 1 year before I was diagnosed, my BFF was diagnosed (still my BFF today). This was back in 1990. When I went to his home, I was always afraid to use his towels for example. Like you said, we didn't know very much about how it was transmitted, all the ways in which it might be transmitted. And one year later I was diagnosed, and I secretly noticed people acting the same way around me. LOL. I can't blame them. I didn't. But if someone were to behave that way today around me, I would educate them.
Thanks for bringing this up.
I was in the beginning my daughter was 3 yrs old an I wouldn't let her drink out of my cup or eat off my plate. That only lasted a short while till they educated us that it could only be blood or body fluids.
I was scared to death at first, then my doctors reassured me that I could not transmit the virus to my negative partner as long as I stayed undetectable. We have great sex, not going to lie! 😃 But it did take awhile for us to get here. He didn't know anything about HIV at all really and had to move at his own pace and I respect that. Now he's comfortable and it is AWESOME and worth the wait
I was but now I have the groove of things with my bf.
