@A myHIVteam Member, I got my cabenuva shots 💉 yesterday. 2 shots, one each side. In and out in less than 10 minutes.
As for having time to go to the doctor, that doesn't matter, you still have to go to the doctor to get a prescription for the pills. So if you have time to get pills, you have time for shots.
As for the pills, you're making 2 trips, the shots one trip. The pills, you have the trip to the doctor office, then the trip to the pharmacy. Shots, you just have the trip to the doctor and it's done.
This depends on many factors and first question is how consistent is the person taking pills, if not consistent then I would probably
Tell them the option of getting the injection. Finally I would advise them to do research and consult with their doctor.
I like the idea of controlling my medications. I would rather not get that disconnected from my AVT. Have to admit that for people who don't want a daily reminder of their HIV infection, this would be the way to go! @A myHIVteam Member.
PS: For people willing to broaden their definition of the cure, this is close.
Depends if you like shots or not and have the time to go to the doctors . which probably takes 40 minutes to get the shot then going to the drug store for 3 minutes to get the pills for 30 days or possibly 90 days
@A myHIVteam Member, not sure how more clearer I can make the question, but I'll try.
People, friends or partners who take daily pills for prep, would you recommend to them instead of taking daily pills, to take a prep injection every 4 months?
