Cynthia L. It's not a cure, but has some promise in shrinking reservoirs.
Sounds interesting but not promising. So many studies on viral reservoirs are on going but never amount to anything. HIV is hiding in so many places inactive hiding in lymph nodes .which is probably why I have had a small lymph node in my neck since I’ve been diagnosed that won’t go away. And hiv hides in the stomach, brain and other organs. With that being said scientists need to keep trying and all we need is that magic bullet that i believe is out there. Just not yet.
Thanks for sharing; it’s an interesting read. I found the section describing how genetic material unravels within the chromosome down to the double helix easy to visualise.
It’s a pity that the results were not statistically significant, but it’s encouraging that the researchers plan to improve their approach. Every single study adds to the knowledge base.
It’s also fantastic that people with HIV give their time to participate in these studies to help scientific discovery and other people.
It's a step in the right direction, but still a long way to go.
An interesting idea, more research is definitely needed.
