We may have just had our first Fall day in SE AZ. It's been Summer up until yesterday, calendar be damned.

I love the Fall. It's a little melancholy, and matches my mood. I have been going out for a walk around 7-8pm, just through the neighborhood. It's quiet.

Passing all those homes with the lights on. Lives inside.

The season of life for me is also changing... I recently hit 60.

36yrs with HIV. What a mixed blessing.

PS @A myHIVteam Member. Stick around. Help is here. 🤠

The best advice any Doctor ever gave me was about 2 years after I was diagnosed. He had said to me: “Don’t worry until it is time… and right now it is simply not time.” That said, I never stress or worry over seasonal changes, or flu season, or anything for that matter. Heck, I even kicked COVID’s @A myHIVteam Member, as well as walking pneumonia’s @A myHIVteam Member, with relative ease. (And if I am being honest, walking pneumonia was waaaay worse than COVID).
I don’t walk around with a mask, but I also don’t take unnecessary risks. I recently stopped taking my current meds as I had been on it for over 5 years (My body needed the break from it), and I am still in reasonably good health, all thing considered.
I have been HIV+ since age 18… I am now nearly 55 years old. Not too shabby for someone the doctors said would be dead in 2 years!

i Love Seasons - i look forward to them every year - i am not a fan of more darkness (he says with a sinister smile) but that is the price for 4 beautiful times of the yr - each their own!! -

Since my immune system was wiped out when I had my near-death motorcycle accident one year before my infection(01/87&01/88), I am forever with a compromised immune system. I lost defenses built up during childhood that will never be replaced. I'm also live with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity which can lead to problems when I'm affected by it because I'm open to getting other infections. Chronic sinusitis is the main thing that causes me issues because of subsequent sinus infection. I wear a mask at all times when in public, and sometimes even in my car, because air pollution can get the best of me whether it's automotive, chemical or natural from pollen, mold spores and such. Anything I can do to protect my system the better. Because of my situation, my numbers go off the charts, or tank real bad, during each major season change to where my ID doctors even get concerned. With my current one, I just told wait till the next blood test and all my numbers will be good again and, yes, they were.
When it comes to sex, it's always safe sex with me. We also have to worry about other things than HIV and it's complications, like the old school sexual diseases. Better safe than sorry!

My dad, hubby, and I had our Covid and flu shots recently. I may not really understand the science, but I follow the numbers.
