If You Could Say One Specific Thing To Someone Else That You Learned From HIV, What Would It Be?
What has HIV done for you?
"HIV has given to me,
permission to just be."
At first the diagnosis stopped me dead in my tracks & my next steps were slower & I became more aware of the "little things" I found I took for granted. I learned to appreciate everything. The good, the bad & everything in between. I'm still amazed that my faster pace life before diagnosis showed me that i missed so much & considering a little more than half of my life has been living with HIV/Aids, I'm grateful to have this half be so full & more meaningful than I could've ever expected.
"Strange but true, HIV I thank you." 😊♥️🦋😇🙏🏻
@A myHIVteam Member Ignoring the uncomfortable is why teen pregnancy is still a major problem. Hoping these problems will fix themselves has never worked, yet it is the gold standard.
As a gay kid, I can't think of a single person I could have told without causing myself further damage. Silence = Death was Truth, on many levels.
HIV was met with even more toxic silence, and it still exists today. The fastest way to kill an erection is to speak truth. Erections are allergic to reality. They only exist in the world of Fantasy. 🤠
I have learned that HIV is here to test us all and if you listen to your body remain strong and take your medicine you will survive.
Love is love no matter what, love your self then you can love other people's.you are strong have faith in God.you might meet new friends form new bonds.stop stressing, worrying and live your life and keep moving forward ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🌈🙏
After 25 years of therapy, more on than off, I've learned that people that listen to me has helped me to better understand my personal value and the strength to persevere toward a positive and happy life. 💜🌈🙏☮️
