Not offended in the least. Great share with the team.
HIV/AIDS is almost commonplace affecting all walks of life and not just gay men. Being stigmatized would make some believe that this is still an extremely sensitive subject not to be joked about but some remain sensitive and are easily offended. I guess it comes with having HIV for almost 40 years, nothing offends me about HIV unless I hear someone verbally assaulting someone about it, I will come to their defense in that regard. I just brush it off and continue on with my day. I also joke around about having HIV because a little self humility is good for the soul.

First I’m a fan of dark humor. So it takes a bit to offend me.
Second I didn’t feel the jokes were aimed at the HIV community but was using AIDS to make fun of other groups. For instance people who in 2021 who still think you can get hiv from a toilet seat or the fact SNL has been on the air for so long it’s not as relevant as it once was. I saw nothing in the video that was mean spirited towards POZ people.
Ever since I was diagnosed Ive used humor to deal with my new status as a PLWH. I’ve joked around about it at times and even encouraged others in my life to also find the humor in my situation.
Jokes and seeing the lighter side of being HIV POZ for me is a healthy and one of my many tools I use to cope.

Here is a BBC article and video about a HIV POZ comedian, Scott Agnew, and I love his attitude about being POZ.

I just watch it I had not seen it as I do not watch the show on a regular basis. Personally I was not offended, I saw truth in it, we have become complacent about aids as a Society. Since we have Med's and people are not dying by the thousands every day. it has change from a pandemic back to an epidemic because it is mostly under control and people do not view it as deadly. People in general treat Aids now like a common disease, oh I just take pills. they do not understand how bad it is till there on this side of it, then it is to late. They do not realize what forever really means.

No I wasn't offended. I tried to be, but I know to many people that think that way. So I took it as a shot to them. People don't wear rubber gloves at the check out line for nothing. All that started in my home town in WV around the AIDS epidemic. I'd be more offended about that since we know AIDS isn't spread that way. But I digress, Now there's covid and we need to be covered up.

Yeah. I get that it was supposed to be “funny, shocking, provacative…etc” but, i feel like you. Im not a fan of making fun of something of that nature. If it were a distasteful joke on race, sexuality, or whatever anyone is offended by now a days it wouldnt have even been said. Theres a lot i could say but, to not offend anyone, ill keep my opinion to myself❤️
