What Do You Think About Triumeq

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Cyprus

At the beginning when I was taking it I was having problems with my stomach and I was going to toilet, I informed my doctor and he said that is impossible and that is not the pill... I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and now having problems with gluten and lactose.. anyone knows that all this symptom are been created by the pill?? Seems that my doctor doesn’t really care and don’t have a lot of options here about going to a new one.

I started on Truvada and Tiivicay, but the wouldn't keep me undetectable. My doctor switched me to Triumeq and I have been undetectable ever since. It's hard to tell if I sometimes have side effects from it or if it's just from getting older, but I have no major problems with the medication.

@A myHIVteam Member Thanks for asking this question! I've been on Triumeq since 2018 and can say the most prevalent side effects for me have been fatigue, low energy, and depression. I've also experienced some numbness and tingling in my limbs, however, this can also be likely to lack of stretching and regular exercise. Any updates on your side effects?

I have that kind of arthritis too. I drink almond milk and take arthritis pain relief Tylenol when the pain is too great. I eat fresh pineapple, drink turmeric, ginger in between meals and I haven't any problems with gluten oh and I've also used lactose free 2 % milk.
