How Well Do You Tolorate The Newer Single Tablet Treatments Compared To The Older Style Twice Daily Treatments
I currently take my HIV drugs two to four times daily. I want to find out how well people tolorate single tablet treatments compared to the older style twice daily tablets. When I recently tried one of the newer style once daily treatment,ie Biktarvy, I couldn't tolorate taking all the medicine in one single tablet daily. Has Anyone Taking Biktarvy Experienced Significant Weight Gain?
I was diagnosed HIV positive 8 months ago and started on Biktarvy. My HIV was VERY advanced and the Biktarvy has helped immensely. BUT I’ve gained 24 pounds so far. I’m a 5’2” female so that’s up 2 clothing sizes. And I wasn’t underweight before. (Seems I experienced every symptom of late stage HIV except wasting.) I have a ton of fairly expensive clothing that I can’t wear, my joints ache from the extra weight, and I hate looking in the mirror in my new “fat clothes”. But my doctor doesn’t… read more

Symtuza: What Foods Trigger Diarrhea
This is for my others team mates out there who are, like me, also on Symtuza.
I was recently told that by my doctor that although Symtuza causes diarrhea as a side effect, that it’s certain high fat foods that can can make it worse.
As a Symtuza user what foods have caused the worse gastrointestinal side effects for you?
For me milk has caused it and also hotdogs.
I appreciate anybody’s input on this.

If I eat prawn with shells, I am sure it will cause diarrhea. I have heard that those who suffer from poor gut health, if they take psyllium husk daily that improves gut health. Isabgol is the cheaper… read more
