Monkeypox

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Edmore, MI

Has anyone asked their doctor about monkeypox yet?
I just sent an email to my doctor to see if there was any kind of vaccine for it. From what I have read so far, it does not look like there is, but the smallpox vaccine is 80% effective against it. 80% is better than 0%.
Would you get a monkeypox or smallpox vaccine to try and prevent monkeypox?

Does Stigma And Discrimination Still Happen In A Medical Setting?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Edmore, MI

You may think 💭🤔 that stigma and discrimination no longer exist at hospitals 🏥, clinics, and doctor 👨‍⚕️🩺⚕️ offices. This just isn't true.
Here is a story of 2 cities both 35 minutes or less drive away from me, who refused to treat patients with HIV.

Are You Ready For The Flu Season?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Edmore, MI

I just read a story (https://www.newscientist.com/article/2242113-au...) that the flu season in Australia, Chile, and South Africa was mildly low this year (Their flu season is May - August). More of this has to do with the Covid19 lockdowns and mask wearing.
Do you see the United States having the same results with the flu season, or do you think it will be worse? How will you prepair to fight Covid19 & the flu together?

A myHIVteam Member

Okay if you really want me to be honest I'm my old friend I feel like we are fuct as a country because when it comes to Colby the flu season and all of this and that we as a country are so prone to… read more

Why Believe Dr. Anthony Fauci?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Hull, MA

As we are still alive because of Dr. Fauci with his incredible work with AIDS & HIV. Developing daily meds with the big Pharmaceuticals that have helped us stay alive taking a pill a day, (which is individual and different for each of us), I just want to give a shout out to thank him, and glad that he is on the "team" to figure it all out. A brilliant Doctor who's always ahead of the game.

So, my family - do you have confidence in Dr. Fauci or support our President with his philosophy that… read more

No regrets just asking a question. Sometimes we doubt ourselves and we rethink our lives. Would you do anything differently other than what you're doing now?
