How Would You Make A Social Media Post Promoting The Use Of PrEP/PEP?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

What would get your attention? What would speak to YOU? I want to reach an obvious wide audience and I feel that the current adverts for PrEP are just unrealistic and actually turn me off.

I'm just curious, this would really be helpful as this is something I am being tasked with.

@A myHIVteam Member for a pep promotion, how about a guy waking up in the morning from bed with a hangover from hell, then they look and see somebody in their bed and panic because they didn't know if they used a condom or not. Then the person is shown going to the ER to get tested and then put on pep. Then have a line or announcer saying you have 72 hours after unprotected sex to get on pep to avoid getting HIV. Or something to the like.

You're up in the Northeast. We in the Southern states have some of the highest HIV rates in the country. The infected and those about-to-be are those non-white non-LGBTQ folks who are on the "down-low." It's an interesting dilemma here. I'm retired from the CDC and am glad you use them as a resource. In the past, this wasn't always the case. Create 2 or 3 items and use myHIVteam to critique, in a positive manner, your work. Just a suggestion. Thank you and all the contributors from myHIVteam to your project.

What? You mean HIV is not one big party at the clubs and bars like they show on TV, and everyone being happy. Say it isn't so!
