Does hiv play a part in mental handicapped 🧠
My severe depression has been a part of my life prior to being diagnosed. I don’t think HIV can cause a mental handicap yet can complicate or make some mental health disorders worse in my opinion although I’m not a doctor
@A myHIVteam Member It's important to remember that HIV does not have to control your thoughts or dictate your self-worth. Maintaining a sense of self beyond the diagnosis is key.

I think to varying degrees HIV plays a huge part in depression and a whole bunch of other mental issues. HIV has been known effect the brain and nervous system.
