I'm currently going through the figuring some things out and what are some examples?

It most certainly does make you forget/block memories to help with coping. I believe it is called Dissociative Amnesia - it is when your mind blocks out important information about yourself, causing “gaps” in your memory. One of the most common reasons your mind blocks out things is to protect you from unpleasant, distressing or traumatic experiences.

Sometimes a therapist can help you figure all this out? There may or may not be trauma there simply could be mental health problems associated with genetics - it’s important to know family history. My mom’s dad was an alcoholic related to genetics yet my dads mom became an alcoholic due to trauma from the death of my dad. I feel that addiction running on both sides of my family placed me at high risk for drug addiction and fell into drugs myself. The first hit of meth made me feel normal due to my ADHD

- Symptoms: Emotional trauma can cause feelings of sadness, worthlessness, hopelessness, guilt, loss of interest in activities, changes in sleep and energy levels, difficulty concentrating, and even suicidal thoughts.
- Memory and Cognition: Trauma can affect memory and cognition, leading to difficulties in concentration and potentially causing one to forget events or dismiss people.

Examples of Emotional Trauma:
- Stressful Life Circumstances: Living with a chronic illness like HIV can be a significant source of stress.
- History of Trauma: Past experiences of abuse or significant loss can contribute to ongoing emotional trauma.
- Lack of Social Support: Feeling isolated or unsupported can exacerbate feelings of trauma.

Christy.....as I'm sitting here looking through these things that are described to me as trauma or trauma related brain functions fog, or the amnesia. Whew......like idk...It's weird! I can't bandaid this thing ya know no more....but hopefully trusting the process can help alot because my life is very low and I need to get stronger.....I keep quitting....and I'm worse off rn that I'm believing only fame, music, and extremes will save me....and I'm always too quick to believe lies and play with people.....and people I am close to seem to have same traits and then seeing high performance people I see I can't be this person "God" (blaming him for this) but more so seeing new lessons and "decrediting" facts or the certain things his my problem because I don't want to own I'm fully innate to the "truth" because of the home (here, child, future if i have) ya know. @A myHIVteam Member thanks for this.....but idk no more!
