It seems like you might be referring to CD4 cells, which are more commonly discussed in the context of HIV. Here are some key points about CD4 cells and their importance in HIV:

- CD4 Cells: These are a type of immune cell that HIV targets and destroys. Healthy CD4 cells help organize the immune response to infections.
- CD4 Count: A normal CD4 count ranges from 500 to 1,500 cells per cubic millimeter. A count below 200 cells per cubic millimeter indicates a weakened immune system and a higher risk of opportunistic infections.
- HIV Treatment: Antiretroviral therapy (ART) helps increase CD4 counts by preventing the virus from replicating and destroying these cells.

If you meant CD8 cells specifically, please clarify, and I will provide information based on the context available.

You started treatment late with a very low CD4 count, but now it’s 380 , meaning that you are healing and healthy. Your body is trying to re-adjust before stabilizing.

No. My CD8's been high for years. I also have a low CD4/cd8 percentage. Drs tend to look at your cd4 and cd8 percentage to get an idea of your immune health. Anything over 1 is supposed to be good.
