Google says "Yes, many people with HIV have vitamin B12 deficiency, and it can start early in the disease. In fact, one study found that low serum cobalamin levels are common in people with AIDS and related disorders. Another study found that HIV-1 infection can cause abnormal vitamin B12 metabolism, which may lead to neurological dysfunction.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause a variety of neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, including:
numbness, tingling, loss of dexterity, foggy thinking, memory loss, confusion, disorientation, depression, irrational anger, and paranoia.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can also cause anemia. Some studies have also found a link between vitamin B12 deficiency and weight loss and diarrhea.
Because the symptoms of HIV infection and vitamin B12 deficiency overlap, early diagnosis and intervention is important."

I work in an ID clinic a lot of our HIV patients are on vitamin B.
