Anemia And HIV
Alright, I've been lurking but haven't posted much. Mentally, I'm not in a good place. Health-wise, I feel better now than I did 10 years ago though!
My doctor recently ordered some tests, because we believe I may be developing anemia. My RBC is consistently low, a few times my hemoglobin and hematocrit was slightly below normal. On the last test, my iron saturation was low and TIBC was reading high.

Anemia can be a common side effect of HIV infection and the meds used to treat it. I have pictures of myself anemic from HIV infection in the late 1980s. I don't remember noticing it at the time, but it's undeniable from the pictures. @A myHIVteam Member. Hang in there. I survived my anemia without anyone acknowledging it.❤️
