Climbing Stairs
How would a person climb stairs with an impaired left leg? Has anyone here experienced this and how did you ace getting over the challenge? What mobility device did you use, if any? Did this change the way you order food and other essentials get delivered to your door? Thoughts? Anyone?
I've got that ring doorbell so I can see and talk to who's at the door, along with blink cameras I installed in the parking lot aimed at my front door and upstairs windows. When I moved in, I replaced the door locks and installed a manual deadbolt. I am considering an automatic deadbolt to allow my grocery delivery to come upstairs and put my food away with a good tip for their service. Once they leave, I can bolt the door remotely and say goodbye through the ring doorbell. Also, useful when I get packages and mail.

Are there stairs to your home, or inside your home that are the challenge?
Hi. I hope you’re having a good day. I had an idea to share for your home. If I understand the arrangement properly, you normally must go down stairs to open your door. If that’s correct, I believe you will need a doorbell camera, and a remote deadbolt. Both are affordable. That would allow you to see who’s at your door, and let them in, without fighting the stairs. I retired as a designer for a military contractor, and like to think I can find solutions, if I understand the challenges.
