Are You Frustrated With Finding Effective Treatments For HIV?
No, I'm not frustrated. I've been on the same regime for many years. Besides diarrhea, I'm very pleased with my regimen. I do have to admit however, before we found a regiment that was going to work, it was extremely frustrating.
Because some of the others had horrible side effects. Some would give me suicidal thoughts or I would have problems with my kidneys. Atripla was the worst we removed that one really quick.
It can be frustrating because we're human quinepigs. Great question everyone have a wonderful day 😊.
@A myHIVteam Member Hi Angel, this is what I have found on the African AIDs cure claim
I hope this clears up some misconception. Research continues for a cure, but we are at least closer to it then when we were both diagnosed in the mid 80's
Aloha Young Lady, John (I have also included you on my team)
No evidence
There is no evidence to support the claim that an African doctor has found a cure for AIDS. The search results do not support this claim. One article reports that Dr Samuel Ato Duncan was awarded an Honorary Professor for his discovery of a potential cure for HIV/AIDS in Accra1. Another article reports that a professor of veterinary medicine named Maduike Ezeibe at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture in Nigeria has been stating that he has developed a cure for HIV for several years now2. However, there is no evidence to support these claims.

I’m not frustrated however, it makes me appreciate the journey. 😃From 1984 to 1999 I wasn’t on any medications 💊until I got pregnant with my youngest daughter. 🍼Before she was born, I start taking the medicine & she is a healthy 24 yr old HIV negative young lady. 🥳 I have jumped from Combivir to Triumeq to Julucca & now CabeNuva. 🎊🥳🎊This 40 year diagnosis has blessed me to see new regimens of medicines being created with hopes of a cure. 😃⭐️😃That is my ultimate mindset that one day there will be a cure for HIV and AIDS🤩💫🤩
Neverhad a problem with my medication
Unfortunately, the side effects make each one of us different, but it helped me to think that this is a chronic disease and not a fatal one, that is what they instill in Mexico in the Capasit, that HIV goes hand in hand with emotional health and we must be calm and seek harmony and stick without fail to the medication and the doctor's health advice and take care of your body because we are more susceptible to opportunistic diseases, but if we take care of ourselves in all aspects we will live many years, even longer than another non-infected person because we take care of ourselves... so be smart, eat what you should eat and don't eat what you shouldn't eat and try to find happiness in the simplest things that life gives you, even going for a walk and admiring a plant that is there for you, for you to see... you don't look for what you like and get closer.
