If you're talking about this site to translate, you don't need to anymore.
At the top of the page there is an English/Espanol toggle.
English speakers will of course be on the English toggle and our Spanish speakers will be on the Espanol toggle.
When you write, no matter what language, it automatically gets translated for the other person speaking the opposite language.
So everyone who responds in Spanish automatically gets translated to English. Everyone who responds in English automatically gets translated in Spanish.

Not at all. I took 1 year of Spanish in high school. There's an interesting story behind my name, but I can tell you, my Mom is polish (100%), and father was 1/2 Apache Indian and then a mix. The name was assigned to our family in 1900. The American Indians didn't have surnames, so in order to complete the census, the feds gave them last names. At least that's the story my father told me some years before he died. I know he and my step-mom drove all over NM looking for information and found out our family was from Lourdes, New Mexico, AND my Great Grandfather was killed in a gun-fight! I don't know about that story, though. Probably true. I don't know why my old man would lie. I mean he was the worlds biggest blowhard, but I don't think he would make that up.

I travel internationally a lot, not fond of Google Translate as it misses idioms and colloquialisms. It can look foolish. (Happens a lot in advertising people think that other languages are word-for word to ours, the Chevy Nova was an example, it means no-go in Spanish) and AI is good for it, Microsoft has a popular translator app and there are apps that will even listen to, translate it and then speak it back too.

You can write in English and the other person can press the Spanish option on top of the page to read what you wrote in Spanish
