I was diagnosed in 2012 from a week accident. I got sick quick. Alot of issues and I'm finally feeling healthier and I would like to work again. But because of all my medical issues I can't do what I used to, I've got a huge employment gap. My drs want me on social security but they wonr approve me. I have a 3 year old to raise. I can't afford to go to school. I'm 41 and spent my career as an emt. I don't know what to do to be able to support myself and my child. I thankfully get foodstamps… read more

Check into home health care.. being a companion to someone just helping them around their house is easy work and most times u can take your kid with u!.. I had the same thing..HIV is not considered a disability!.. imagine that!.. when we know damn well it is.. so unless there's a reform someday.. it's not going to happen.. I just managed to work part-time and lived at home until I reached the age I now draw social security!.. other than that.. your only other alternative is move home or marry someone who works and is willing to support u!.. but that's a whole new can of worms! Home health care u can get benefits!
