Most of our fears and worries are not truely based on facts. I suggest listing them and looking at them factually, rather than emotionally. For most with HIV, facts are not so bad. A pill a day will probably keep you healthy and undetectable. Sexual relatinships may be less casual. With time, you will likely become more comfortabe bringing up the subject when needed. Yes, you will likely deal with some rejection. I’ve come to see this as a screaning provess that weeds out those I would not wish to waste time with. It will thicken your skin a bit. I hope you will come to see that you can have a long happy life. Best wishes to you. Rex

Hi Mario, it's understandable that you want to find support and friendship as you deal with your diagnosis. On the MyHealthTeam social network, you can connect with other people who are going through similar experiences. Here I explain how you can do it:

1. Meet Others: Use the "Meet Others" feature on the site. You can access it by selecting the menu icon at the top left, going to What's New and then Meet Others.

2. Search Filters: Once in "Meet others", open the Filters option to search by location, diagnosis, treatments, symptoms and more. This will help you find people who can really understand what you are going through.

3. Refine your Search: Use the arrows next to topics to expand all available search options. You can also search by age, gender, and username to further refine your results.

I hope you soon find people with whom you can share and support each other. Good luck, Mario!
