Has Anyone Had Problems With Abscesses After Starting Their Meds? I’ve Been Taking Since December 2023 And Currently Undetectable.

Yes, the last one had to be cut open. But healed well. Idk what’s going on. I just had a routine check up and everything came back good

Are you on any hormones, possibly for gaining lost weight? Hormones can start another ride through puberty with acne included. Beyond that, people with HIV can be plagued by skin problems... seborrhoeic dermatitis with sores under the flaky layers of skin, yeast, acne. I cycle through all of those. A good dandruff shampoo helps (Selsun Blue, either selenium sulfide or pyrithione zinc). Can be used anywhere on the body. The sooner, the better!

@A myHIVteam Member. Are you sure they are abscesses... do they rupture, and show infection? Or, do you feel them, but they don't surface... like lymph nodes, lipomas or seromas(?). I have quite a few either lipomas or seromas on either side of my sternum. They don't do much of anything, and are easiest to feel when lying flat on my back.
