Everyone is different. Took me almost 18 months and 4 kinds of meds. Started Symtuza, then Biktarvy, then Triumeq, then Triumeq combined with Trogarzo. Last one did the trick and I did Trogarzo infusions for almost a year. Back to just Triumeq but am undetectable now for several 3+ years. Last count, my number was 490.

@A myHIVteam Member, everyone is different. Not everyone's numbers changes dramatically. In 2008, I was diagnosed at 156. Last year, 2023, I hit my highest number ever of 398.

It takes a while period. It took me about 8 months to get to undetectable and over a year to to get to over 200. I kinda stayed in the 300 and 400's for a couple years.

Yes, it can take some time for your CD4 count to increase after starting HIV treatment like Biktarvy. Your initial count was quite low, which indicates a significantly weakened immune system. Since starting treatment, your CD4 count has shown improvement, which is a positive sign. It's important to continue with your prescribed medication and follow up regularly with your healthcare provider to monitor your progress. The gradual increase in CD4 count is a good indicator that the treatment is working, but it can vary from person to person how quickly and to what extent the count improves.

Everybody’s different for me. I’ve always had low platelet counts, and it runs in the family and also my CD4 is typically around 400 and I have a negative twin brother and his counter are the same
