If You Are Between 55 And 65 And A Long Timer (20+ Yrs HIV), Do You Suffer From Another Serious Condition?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Saint Petersburg, FL

In addition to hiv 30+ years, I suffer from fibromyalgia (8 years and counting). I am 57 years old. I'm wondering if others in my age range also suffer from a SERIOUS comorbidity. I'm curious if this is common within my age range among HIV positive individuals.

Depression waves roll in, definitely. I am 57, HIV + since 1993. The only thing I continually offer to others is to let the labels and limiting definitions lessen and be as present as possible with any, and all emotions. Even the idea of life and death are draining. Just be. In this way we lighten up and this supports our immunity and vitality and we live now, especially since we have HIV. <3

I think you hit the nail right on the head. The most likely answer is that some people do indeed have quote unquote better immune systems than others. 🤷‍♂️
