I just went to the Doc a couple days ago. My CD4 is 1490, and I'm totally undetectable. When I first got sick 20 years ago, my CD4 was 7. Needless to say it was a horrifying time in my life. Once I started treatment in 2005, it still took several years to return to some kind of normal. But I listened to my Docs, tried not to panic, and most importantly educated myself (I was surprised how little I actually knew). Now I'm not the picture of health, but I am surprised that I am as healthy as I am. Especially after 30+ of drinking and drugging (for 13 years after my diagnosis). This year I will have 7 years sober on 8/12. I do tend to babble don't I. LOL
