Do You Think The United States Should Discontinue The 1¢ Coin? What About The 5¢ Coin?
Many countries have quit making a 1¢ coin. It cost 3.07¢ to make a 1¢ coin.
It cost 8¢ to make a 5¢ coin.
It wouldn't be the first time the United States discontinued a coin 🪙.
Other coins the United States quit making:
½¢ coin
2¢ coin
3¢ coin
Half dime (NOT A NICKLE)
20¢ coin
$2.50 coin
$3 coin
$4 coin
Xavier so true that’s why I said it’s nice to ask questions that normalize are situation. However we are all on here due to our unfortunate situation.
@A myHIVteam Member is a homophone a gay mobile device?
@A myHIVteam Member we are normal. Sometimes just talking about HIV is a drag. It also helps new members ease into conversations about HIV. If they answer questions enough, they will eventually answer HIV questions as well.
I very rarely use cash. Electronic money is hella convenient! Mike is a coin collector. If they ever discontinue coins, that's something we have in hoarded quantity. One day I may be buying food in silver dollars as old as I am.
If we are going to recognize the amount we need the coin. Dropping the penny and rounding to nearest nickel makes sense.
