I have posted this quite awhile ago, but we have many, many, many, many new members since
Here are some of the benefits (but not all, AND depending on state or agency)
1) Housing help. There is a program called HOPWA. It will help cover some of your monthly rent or mortgage payments but not all of it. Amount varies by state or HIV agency. Thanx for the information. As a matter of fact, I signed up for utility bill and rent assist through HOPWA yesterday. I live in CA. and I am greatfull for all of the services available for help. Prodject Angel Food delivers delicious and healthy microwave meals.

That is correct. Not all states offer the same services. Not even different agencies in the same state don't offer the same thing.
If you don't ask, you won't know. So if you have a need, ask! Your medical case worker will do their best to find help!

This is an extremely important issue. When I first started in 2004, I was really confused. I was lucky to have a friend and Rick to help me. I try to take full advantage of my benefits. This year has gotten expensive though. I'm trying to find ways to stretch out my $$. I'm not destitute or anything like that, but, just like everyone else, I'm trying to make ends meet. Take full advantage. Research. I see a dentist every 6 months, eye doc every yr, annual mole patrol, all paid for by ArCare here in Arkansas. You really wouldn't believe the THOUSANDS I've saved. ESPECIALLY in the dental dept. I thought I would lose them all at one time, but only lost a few. AND the cost of the dental work I've received (crowns, bridges etc) FREE is astounding. I know not every state's the same, but with HIV is VITAL that you get checked out regularly by docs. So far I'm okay in all departments. I'm fortunate and try to remain grateful. I hope I helped.
