You can Google "HIV life insurance" and many places will come up that insure people with HIV now.

Most Life Insurance ask the HIV questions in their applications. But you can get a funeral expense insurance plan for about $90 a month on a coverage of 30k.
..
for an additional cost. You can get another plan for the same coverage of 30k for another $90 a month... I personally have Omaha insurance plan. And I pay ninety seven dollars a month fora plan Of thirty thousand.

Lisa, I can pretty much answer all questions life insurance. But I need more details on your diagnosis/stage and also your goals for life insurance? They have what is called,”Guaranteed issue plans” but it is typically over priced final expense policies that will only cover your burial…and they don’t take affect for two years after getting into one.

Guardian can insure HIV undetectable after two years…but they will never take someone under a certain CD4 level.

What’s your situation?

If your CD4 level was ever under 200 and you cannot save/invest, then a guaranteed issue policy from Mutual Omaha is recommended. However if you have been undetectable for over two years and never had a CD4 under 200 then I would absolutely apply for Guardian.

Hi Luis, I hoped you read my answer to her question. I understand that you have a policy with mutual omaha, but I am a professional on this matter and don’t want her confused. If you have any questions, then I’d be willing to answer them as well

Hi Tyler, you have a guaranteed issue whole life policy and actually the only way you can raise it is if you purchase additional coverage with Great Western. Coverage gets more expensive as you age, so there is no better price than actually increasing you death benefit and purchasing another policy. We often get confused with life insurance literature, but that would be the only way you can increase your death benefit unfortunately (hence the two year waiting period) means that it always will be a two year waiting period whether you purchase additional coverage today or in 2 years. Thanks and let me know if you have questions
