Is It Ok To Take Dovato 2 Hours Later On Weekends?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Amarillo, TX

I take my med at 5am weekdays when I get up for work. But on weekends it's nice to sleep in some and wait a couple of hours to take it. Will it make any difference? I hate getting up at 5am on days off just to take it, but will if I need to. I used to take them in the evenings but was having sleep issues.

I am the least regimented person when it comes to meds of any kind - I loath drugs and DR - I take what I Absolutely have to at Least once a day - should thanks then 12 hrs apart and not with tums - LOL - well your ART screwed an already bad digestive system -
What They Refuse to tell you is EVERY Drug is Personal and how YOU react or not to it is Personal - so long as you DO NOT double in 24 hrs your fine
Not medical advice Personal actions

you won't have any issues with that. all that is important is that you take them. A few hours' difference will not make a difference. The drugs are so potent, they stay in your body for quite awhile.

It's OK Buddy. There's always a couple of hours of forgiveness, so taking it at 7am on Weekends instead of 5am is fine. The main thing is that you take it.

YES. Daily dosing probably means far more than 2 hours leeway.

May I suggest you take Friday’s dose 1 hour later (at work?) and then Sat still later? Sun reverse the adjustment direction:
M 5am, Tu 5am, W 5am, Th 5am, F 6am, Sa 7am, Su 6am …

Similar to how I dose through minor time zone changes (flying).

Thanks for the response. If you still have good lab results then you most likely are correct.
