Shots
I'm in the process of getting the cabanuva shots waiting approval through insurance and making sure it does not mess with any of my other meds can anyone out there tell me how they did on the shots and how painful they really are cuz I've heard some are painful some people say they're not so any comments would be gratefully appreciated.
It's like a flu shot you won't feel anything. There are two shot that you will get on each side of ur butt. If you are not too skinny you will feel absolutely nothing. The only condition to be approved is being undetectable for the last 6 months if i remember. Good luck..
I've heard gud things about the shot. Thing with me n hiv meds is, I stopped getting the flu n pneumonia shots and I haven't been as sick as I used to be 2yrs ago. I was sick 4 to 7 times a year n last 2yrs maybe twice. I take extra vitamins n my doctor has me on a continuous antibiotic to help since I've started taking supplements and vitamins. I think I'm on a total of 7 to 9 medications n like 9 supplements n vitamins. Vitamin C is key to avoiding colds. Orange juice twice a day or 1 Vitamin C tablet daily from the store. I buy the economy sized bottle.
I like the shots. Easier on my health and when I see my Doctor on the 29th, I’m going to ask him about the twice a year injection Sunlenca and if it has been approved of not.
Sunlenca is approved ChristopherBridges. I have been taking it since March 2023. It is not for everyone. I have had built a resistance to most of the HIV medications, except Tivicay and Descovy that I take along with the Sunlenca shots given twice a year. I hope that Sunlenca will be an option for you?
I myself don't want to because my numbers are up 725 cd4's I don't want to do it that's just me
