Do The Religious Holidays Alienate Or Bring You Together With Family And Friends?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭

Being HIV positive stigmatizes us to certain groups where we feel more comfortable than with others. Do the holidays absolve and resolve those issues with family members and friends?

I think it depends on the family and the friends. My grandfather gave me really good advice when I was younger. He said never discuss religion or politics and to somebody ask your opinion don't give it because they only want you to confirm theirs.

It still gets my family together for a nice meal. Leg of lamb tomorrow. I no longer do the church part. I did as long as my mother lived. It was importaint to her, but I don’t feel connected to any religion.
