Would You Participate In A Clinical Trial?
With many antivirals and treatments coming up the pipeline , inevitably there will be treatments and trials here in the United States and abroad regarding the treatment and cure of HIV and other diseases like cancer.
Would you consider volunteering your body for research in treatments of these diseases?
I have done several clinical trials while living on Oahu through Doctor's Cecilia Shikuma and Dominic Chow sponsored by the University of Hawaii at Manoa and State Dept of Health. This was done in the mid 90's and early 2000's, I was mostly in it for the money still raising up a young family and I must say that the pay was substantial. So yes, I will participate in another if it so presents itself here on Maui or Honolulu. I think these are quite beneficial and needed by our community tremendously. Progress, continue the course....
Please know there's no right or wrong answer to this question. Thank you for all of those who've answered and I am attaching more information for those who are interested in active clinical trials or in just clinical trials in general.

Absolutely, if I met the requirements. Anything to advance the well being of those that could benefit.
Absolutely! Would like to be in one for arthritis and HIV
I have never participated in any. I'm with Happydays, they kinda scare me, what if they go the wrong way and make me worse. I thank all of you who have gone on and done them, I appreciate you!!
