So Who Is On Injectable ARTs?

I just want to know the comforts and inconveniences linked to this for.

Ps, the treatment is not yet available in my country, maybe with time.

Because the medications are expensive, I have heard they are being used primarily for people who don’t have the stability of life for daily medications. Like, people who are currently homeless, or struggling with mental health or addiction. I’m sure that will change with time.

Injectable ARTs are used by people living with HIV who may have trouble sticking to daily oral medications. Some members of the myHIVteam community have shared their experiences with injectable ARTs:

- One member stated, “I’m so very excited for the injectables tomorrow morning!”
- Another member shared, “I’m currently on a once-a-month injectable study. I love it,” although they did mention experiencing soreness at the injection site for up to two days.
