This is my 30th years old and it's a blessing to say that. It hasn't been easy ,as we all can relate. Yet ,I'm so grateful to my God for life pains /no pain,tired/energy. Learn to be patient with yourself. 🌹

I have been HIV Poz since 1983. I am on Medicare Medicaid Humana and feel very lucky to have all my meds covered with a 3.50 copay. I live pay check to pay check and I have a section 8 apartment.

I agree with many parts
Of the article mainly the mental health is extremely important. I hadn't experience what the author went through I was diagnosed in 1992 . I didn't see the deaths of the 70's & 80's . Although I have seen 1st hand what this disease can do. I did experience 2 weeks in the ICU on a ventilator with covid. I know 2 weeks in the hospital with covid is no comparison to AIDS but I got a small taste of fighting for life. However LONG TERM SURVIVER has a different meaning for me. I don't believe in luck or coincidence I believe in angels. I don't know everything but I'm open to learning. Thanks for the article and God bless
