Symtuza: What Foods Trigger Diarrhea
This is for my others team mates out there who are, like me, also on Symtuza.
I was recently told that by my doctor that although Symtuza causes diarrhea as a side effect, that itβs certain high fat foods that can can make it worse.
As a Symtuza user what foods have caused the worse gastrointestinal side effects for you?
For me milk has caused it and also hotdogs.
I appreciate anybodyβs input on this.
Thanks
Tom
Good morning my friend unfortunately I have suffered with gastro problems I would say with the entire duration that I've been positive. I'm not trying to scare anyone but I think these medications do just that. Luckily they suppress the virus but they start up the acids in the stomach something awful. I've learned to regulate my diet as much as possible to stay away from the food that provoke the acids in my stomach and to drink more water πππππππππππππ
If I eat prawn with shells, I am sure it will cause diarrhea. I have heard that those who suffer from poor gut health, if they take psyllium husk daily that improves gut health. Isabgol is the cheaper one, metamucil is the costlier one.
I can tell you that yes even with biktarvy I hear people in my class with fahass tell me they experience diarrhea I never have experienced that but one time when I was in the hospital for a loss of all my electrolytes,I do have a lot of gastric issues though every day from gas within my stomach or intestinal area .I am positive it's from all of these meds I am on too suppress the virus. I also believe hiv has damaged my eyes I know I lost most of my site in the left from glaucoma on top of this virus
I didn't know that. Most of the HIV meds cause diarrhea I did know that.
