How Are You Feeling Emotionally, Happy, Depressed, Overwhelmed?

A myHIVteam Member asked a question πŸ’

I feel overwhelmed and depressed. Kind of on overload with everything happening in the world right now. I'm seeing a Psychologist who is really helpful and caring who is really the one keeping me in check. I try to live day to day, and I'm sure there will be brighter days ahead. Just wondering how everyone else might be feeling?

I feel grateful and happy I thank God every day I know exactly how much worse things could be. I've learned to make the best of my situation and try not to let it define me.

I have been feeling like I have been on a rollercoaster ride with the good one day and down the next but things are getting more on the good day side as more and more people are getting their vaccine and the feeling like maybe can see the end of this long tunnel we all have been going through with this pandemic and I am finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel as each day I hear of someone saying on facebook that they were not going to get this vaccine but hearing that so many are getting the vaccine and not having huge side effects that they were scared of so they are getting their vaccine, I believe that we just might get to "herd ammunity" yet after all and that is good news and makes me feel a whole lot better.πŸ³β€πŸŒˆπŸ³β€πŸŒˆπŸ³β€πŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸŒˆπŸ³β€πŸŒˆπŸ³β€πŸŒˆπŸ³β€πŸŒˆ

Balance is a very fragile thing. And I think having the best and worst of times,.. keeps me in check and reminds me of the bigger picture πŸ™πŸ’•πŸ™

Good morning and thank you for the question. I'm sorry that you are feeling this way currently. Therapy is a wonderful way to release these thoughts. So I am glad that you are working with someone one-on-one. As long-term survivors as we are please remember to give yourself some slack. We just got over are getting over pandemic and we've lived with HIV for many many years. And we've been through a lot of stuff. So please try to rest your mind and think about the glass half full just once in awhile and give yourself a break. Much love my brother 🌈🌈🌈🌈❀️

These current challenges we are all facing made worse by the pandemic is what builds our fortitude and resilience as survivors. Every time something new comes up, sometimes surprisingly, is a challenge or test put before us for a reason. To make you stronger than you were before the challenge presented itself. This is what makes us, our team, this is who we are. Up for the challenge while in support of each other..
