I am sorry that you are breaking apart after 11 years together. It seems this was the best decision with the abuse. Doesn't sound like there is anything to salvage in this break apart. At this time in your life, your family will become your comfort while you forge a new path for yourself. I can relate with being with someone for a length of time ⌚ you become comfortable and dependent upon each other for many things then suddenly it is over. This is the time where you become your own person and prioritize things that are most important to you.
It appears your biggest obstacle is your mind set of being alone now.
Rediscover yourself. Change your expectations of what life used to be like and how you want it to be going forward.

I know I've given up trying to hide it from my love interest

So true, just dont know how to begin the conversation. I also have MS and even thats a tough one to discuss. Worrying about what has not happen yet is not good but I would like to plan it out.

Hi @A myHIVteam Member I have another suggestion. Both the app for MyHIVteam and the webpage have a search option. Many people over time have asked the same type of questions about dating and you can search and read the answers they got for more info.
