Only about 54% of medical practitioners surveyed say they have prescribed pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, to HIV-vulnerable patients, according to a new study by a Vanderbilt University Medical Center investigator.

Some may be on the down low like the previous answer.
I feel like prep is being advertised more but it’s not something that’s easily obtainable. Most times these medications are still very expensive and there are no programs available to obtain them at a cheaper value. Such a gimmick from big pharma.
I had a great family doctor probably not so well respected my pharmaceutical companies. ‘Of all of the areas of studies, I am not a pharmacy doctor. If you need a specific medication then I’ll make an appointment for the pharmacy doctor. My concern is my patients health not bribes and kick backs for over prescribing’
My dog had pituitary cancer. The artificial hormones from the veterinary business insanely costly. The pharmacist owner knew my dog. He asked for the veterinarian to prescribe generics. Going into his office was more like a warehouse of appliances anc entertainment electronics and travel reward incentives. This is the reward for filling prescriptions so how ethical is it for physicians to create addicts?
The Head of Epidemiology was morbidly obese with all of the chronic conditions associated such as diabetes, high blood pressure and a heart condition. He forgot his treatments at home and chose to use diet and moderate exercise. In 8 years of university courses, 45 minutes were about the positive effects of diet.
@A myHIVteam Member, scroll to the very, very top of this chat until you can't scroll anymore. That is where my question is.
The question is: "what are your thoughts?" Then i describe in detail the question. When you click on "ask question" in the settings, it goes to everyone on that persons team.
If you need help with trying to navigate this site, anyone of us can help you with that, but you have to ask so we know you have questions.
When i went tothe emergency room in february they ran all the test and came to the conclusion that i said mono (that was incorrect) i was only in there for like 30 minutes. Never even seen the doctor. I asked the lady who gave me the result if i could be tested for anything else while i was there because it just didnt make sense. I knew i didnt have mono. She told me no because they didnt do them. I knew that was a lie alao. They just didnt want to do it. A month later i still wasnt feeling well so i went back. The doctor this time was AMAZING. he ran literally every test he could think of and thats when i found out. He was super nice and caring and understanding about it. He was probably more concerned than i was. I thank god for him every day because without him and his “wanting to help” i wouldnt even know or probably would be in a worse off situation. So, i agree, most doctors dont even want to talk about it.
