@A myHIVteam Member, anymore it's harder for people to chase the bug with people being undetectable. Usually the chasers will chase when they know someone is off their meds. They only see the benefits, if only they knew the consequences and side effects. Here in the U.S., some states have already changed their HIV laws because of science. Here in Michigan, we no longer have to disclose our status if we are undetectable. If we do have a viral load, then we must disclose.

Forgive me when I say this that's some crazy shit I ever heard. Bug chasers? Are they crazy? And I thought I was crazy...in my own way. Basically he don't know the depths of have this disease and how life-changing it is. Taking meds all your life scene, seeing a doctor constantly, watching what you eat. He does not know the depth of the situation he put himself in just cuz you want to go bareback.

Bug chasers ,it is what we used to call it, 20 yrs ago, most think you you get free housing and other things like ssi...I known people who wanted to get infected for ssi,or housing it's sad and I don't understand it at all...Sad only if they can walk in my shoes....

Please be careful. Back in the day, and apparently now you need to look out for what we called 'bug chasers". People who want to get infected so they can go on disability and government benefits. I'm sorry things didn't work out, but maybe for the best. Time will tell. Good luck.
