What Do You Think Needs To Happen To Reduce The Stigma Around HIV/AIDS?
Here is a question I posted over a year ago and would like to reshare with all the new people since then. I do not think it needs any more explaining.
Well I for one came out if the closet for a second time in my life by announcing that " I have Aids but am undectable " which allowed me to emerge from the dark shroud of Stigma and was such a release because I no longer has to worry about folks telling each other my " dirty little secret " because I myself was emboldened because I finally announced my status to the world and felt such a release that I am no longer ashamed to tell any one who asks :) .
EDUCATION. EDUCATION. EDUCATION!! My husband is a nurse whom used to work with other nurses whom thought HIV could be spread via the AIR . . . ??!! UNBELIEVABLE I know but sadly, sadly, sadly a TRUE story. ; 9.( ; 9.(
Education and awareness and more positive celebrities need to be open.
