Catherine Leasure, Ph.D
Catherine Leasure is a Ph.D. candidate currently studying at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her research focuses on how the bacterial pathogens Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus anthracis maintain homeostasis in the hostile host environment. In 2017, she earned her B.S. in genetics with a minor in horticulture from Texas A&M University.
Catherine is passionate about science education and using scientific evidence to make informed decisions. When not in the lab or writing, Catherine enjoys spending time with her husband and cats, gardening, beekeeping, and tending to her chickens.
